Getting Started

Destiny MT provides each client with a setup CD with detailed instructions as well as necessary software and passwords for setting a computer up to be able to connect with the secure FTP site. Instructions are laid out so that, without much computer knowledge, the setup can be completed fairly easily.

 Requirements

	Reasonably current computer with minimum 128 MB RAM
	Windows XP operating system (other Windows operating systems and Linux are supported)
	Microsoft Word (or Open Office) software
	High-Quality Digital Recorder
	Internet connection, preferably high speed

Select the contact MT section on the Getting Started link on the left. You may request further information on how to contract with Destiny MT for your transcription needs.

Normally, before real transcription starts, a client will attempt some trial uploads of “dummy” voice files which contain dictation about real or imagined patients.  Destiny MT will transcribe it and send it back for the client’s approval.  Once the system is understood and seems to be working, live transcription can begin.
